Day By Day Itinerary

When you arrive at Kigali Airport, you will be picked up by your driver guide who will drive you to Kigali which is Rwandas capital. After your lunch in the city you will set out for a city tour; this city has well developed markets, amazing history which is to do with the 1994 genocide-you will be able to visit the genocide memorial site, also have a visit in art galleries.

Later embark on your journey to Volcanoes National Park which is located approximately 80 km from Kigali. Arrive at the park and check in at the lodge of your choice, Have dinner and overnight.

Stay: Fatima(Budget)Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge (Moderate)

Enjoy a hefty breakfast in the morning; after be picked up by your guide that will take you to the headquarters of the parkwhere you will be briefed about the rules and regulations concerning gorilla trekking in the park. This activity is really thrilling as you will have amazing views of the Virungas, and when you meet the gentle giants you will watch them play, feed, among other things, which is an unforgettable experience.

On top of watching the gorillas you will be able to see other animals like elephants, monkeys, buffaloes as well as various species of birds. Later after trekking head back to the lodge for a late lunch. Throughout the evening, you can take a walk in the community or choose to stay and unwind at the lodge

Stay: Dine and slumber at budget Da Vinci Gorilla lodge (Mid-range) and Fatima hotel (Budget).

Have breakfast early enough and after carry on guided by the park ranger to track the golden monkeys, these animals are very interesting to watch while they play, move around trees and feed.

Another alternative could be visiting the Dian Fosssey tomb, here you will find out a lot concerning this primatologist who once took care of mountain gorillas (please note that; optional activities are not included in the final costing). Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, visit a local school where you will interact with the locals.

Stay: Overnight at the same lodge

After a heavy breakfast, check out of the park and transfer to Kigali airport. In the meantime you will go for a city tour and visit a few places like pottery projects, markets, handicraft shops, the national museum etc. Later have lunch still in the city and drive to the airport for your flight back home.
