Day By Day Itinerary

On arrival, your driver guide will brief you about the details concerning your 3 days safari and transfer you to the North to Parc des National (Volcanoes National Park) which is located 80km from Kigali; approximately a two hours drive. Just in case you reach Kigali early you will have yourself a city tour where you will be able to visit the National Museum or the Genocide memorial centre then have lunch and transfer to the park in the afternoon

Have yourself an early tasty breakfast, after which your driver guide will take you to the headquarters in the park by 8 am for beefing. Later embark on the amazing adventure which is gorilla tracking, in most cases this activity requires some physical fitness by the hikers.

On several occasions it takes between 1 to 6hours to trek and trekkers are permitted to be with the gorillas for 1 hour. It is really a nice experience seeing them play, guard each other, feed among others. While trekking hikers will be in line to also see other animals like the golden monkeys, elephants, buffaloes as well as birds.

After trekking, you will be escorted back and head to the lodge; have lunch and opt for a visit to the twin lakes; Burera and Ruhondo or take a walk in the community and watch traditional dances of the locals or if you just relax in the afternoon at your lodge.

Be early to raise and have a morning breakfast before you check out from the lodge. After that your driver guide will transfer you to Kigali city where you will have a short time shopping from local markets, you can buy souvenirs. Just in case you are still on time, you could also visit the pottery project and the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre. Enjoy lunch and transfer to the airport as you will be heading home.
