Day By Day Itinerary
Arrival at Entebbe airport and transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala.
Stay: Gorilla Neighbour Guest House BB
Your Penny Safari guide will pick you up and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will enjoy many scenic views as you travel and you will have a stopover at the Equator for some photos and experiments, have lunch in Mbarara and after proceed to the park and check in at your lodge. You will relax for that evening and prepare for the gorilla trek the next day.
Stay: Ruhija Community Rest Camp BB
Breakfast early in the morning, and after proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. The rangers will lead you to start the search for the mountain gorillas. You will as well enjoy the flora and fauna of this park, and spend some ample time with these big giants.
After meeting the gentle giants, you will go back to the lodge for a quick late lunch and after you start your transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and enjoy scenery viewing along the Lake in the evening.
Stay: Byoona Amagara
You will proceed with your departure back to Kampala and have a stopover at Mpambire Drum Makers to experience the actual process of making the drums, arriving in Kampala late evening. Your guide will either drop you at any hotel of your choice or at the airport, depending on your flight time.

Gorilla trekking can be moderately strenuous. While it’s generally accessible to most fitness levels, it’s essential to consult with your doctor and let us know about any physical limitations.
The best time is during the dry season, from June to September and December to February. The gorillas are easier to spot as they stay closer to the trails.
Permits are typically not included in the tour cost. We assist you in obtaining permits, and we recommend booking them well in advance due to limited availability.
You’ll need sturdy hiking boots, rain gear, long-sleeved clothing, a daypack, and a reusable water bottle. We provide a detailed packing list upon booking.
